About
About me

I am a scientist with a passion for combining disciplines to solve challenging problems, and making the world a better place. I am a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School in George Church's lab.
I am developing new tools at the interface of chemistry, molecular biology, robotics, and computation/AI, towards improving the way we study and engineer the translation apparatus, which has applications to evolving novel biopolymers and understanding the macromolecular machinery that is at the core of all living organisms. My long-term vision is to improve how we engineer and predict the behavior of biological systems and contribute to solving challenges facing humanity including: human impact on the environment, renewable energy and materials, and health.
I am also passionate about mentoring the next generation of scientists. I will establish a leading research group focused on applying synthetic biology, analytical chemistry, AI, and robotics to probe fundamental questions about the translation system, and develop new proteins and biopolymers using expanded genetic codes.
